Ferrari 599 SA Aperta: Full PPF & Detailing at SUPERB Detailing studio
An open-top rarity. This Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is one of only 80 units worldwide, making it a true collector’s item. The owner entrusted SUPERB with a very specific mission: protect and perfect – while preserving the car’s unique character and history.
Step 1: Removing the original factory striping
This Aperta originally featured a white factory stripe across the bonnet. The client requested its removal, but with one condition: absolutely no damage. Using our expertise in handling delicate paint and adhesives, we removed the stripe flawlessly – leaving no shadowing or residue. The result is clean and original, just as it should be.
Step 2: Full-body Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Given the car’s rarity and value, we applied full-body PPF. Every line, edge, and curve was wrapped with precision. The finish is seamless, protecting the car against stone chips, scratches, and environmental contaminants – without affecting its showroom look.
Step 3: Coating on PPF & wheels
To enhance the durability of the PPF, we added a ceramic coating on top. The wheels were also coated with a high-temperature wheel-specific ceramic, significantly reducing brake dust and grime build-up.
Step 4: Glass coating & clarity
To complete the treatment, we also coated all glass surfaces for better visibility and water repellency in wet conditions. It’s a simple but effective upgrade in both aesthetics and driving comfort.
A supercar with a story
The 599 SA Aperta was introduced in 2010 to celebrate legendary designer Sergio Pininfarina. The “SA” stands for Sergio and Andrea. Each car was individually configured, and only a select group of Ferrari’s top clients were invited to order one. Today, these cars regularly exceed €1,000,000 in market value – more than enough reason to protect it to perfection.
