This brand-new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabrio (992.2) arrived at SUPERB straight from Porsche Center East-Flanders, finished in the elegant Slate Grey Neo — paired with a deep brown soft top and the gloss black SportDesign Package. Purposefully configured for open-top driving, this 911 blends minimalism with modern performance.

But Slate Grey, being a non-metallic paint, is highly sensitive to swirl marks, marring and UV exposure. To preserve the car’s flawless finish and clean design, we carried out a full surface protection treatment — tailored to both performance and longevity.

Step 1: Front-End Paint Protection Film (PPF)

We began with a PPF application on the front-end — covering the front bumper, bonnet, side mirrors and front wings. These areas are most vulnerable to stone chips and road debris. With the film installed seamlessly, the car retains its OEM look, now shielded from daily wear and tear.

Step 2: Multi-Stage Paint Correction

The remaining panels — those not protected with PPF — were machine polished in multiple stages. This removed delivery-related swirl marks and enhanced the natural depth of the paint. For a flat color like Slate Grey Neo, this step is essential to bring out clarity and richness without introducing gloss distortion.

Step 3: Ceramic Coating on All Surfaces

Next, the car received a comprehensive ceramic coating treatment:

  • A flexible ceramic coating on the PPF, to enhance UV resistance, gloss and ease of maintenance
  • High-performance ceramic coating on exposed bodywork, for long-lasting protection and intense shine
  • Wheel faces and barrels coated to resist brake dust and grime
  • Glass surfaces treated for improved visibility and easy cleaning
  • Soft top coated with a hydrophobic textile formula, locking in color and repelling moisture long-term
    Every surface is now protected from environmental fallout, oxidation and chemical etching — while remaining easier to clean and maintain.
